Mudras

Mudras are specific hand poses that are used to deepen concentration, as well as inner peace. The following explanations are top to down.

The Karana Mudra protects against evil and negativity. It can be performed by placing the middle finger to the thumb. While the index and pinky are straight.

The Vitarka Mudra transmits the teachings of the Buddha. To perform this mudra, place the index finger on top of the thumb, while keeping the others straight.

The Dhyana Mudra can be made with the right hand over the left, and thumbs touching, representing a total balance.

To make these pieces, I took a Creative Commons arm that was rigged, and simply posed the fingers to the positions, and applied some rainbow lights and materials. For the color grading, these images were then brought into After Effects and Magic Bullet Looks.
